just put a 302HO from a 89 MK7 Lincoln in my 83 bronc, and i was wondering if anyone else has used the shorty headers from a MKIV? i haven't fitted them yet cus i didn't want to have a custom Y pipe made up until i get some more $$.
apparently the headers are worth 15hp, so i'd like to give it a go. they look like they'd clear the frame etc, and the right side one looks very close to the stock positioning.
BTW: i used the inlet manifold and 2bbl from my 84 302, plus the old water pump, timing cover and fuel pump. she runs really well. much smoother and quieter than my worn out old motor.
i used a one piece rubber oil pan gasket which was a dream to fit.
