1000 post

1000th post.

I have given some thought about what I wanted to write for this 1k event.
Hum……..way to much time on my hands….
I have over the past few months enjoyed the FTE forum, both from accruing knowledge and more meaningful…meeting new friends.
Yes not a problem calling some of these folks friends.

The fascinating part….the challenge of reading between the lines and figuring out what these writers are about. The fabric of one’s persona!

Some rant and push their beliefs, …cannot imagine why no one else...will see or understand their analysis and perspective of any given scenario.
Where others are very systematic at their approach……….to debate.
One of the great things we as Americans are entitled too.

Which brings up the one thing that has enlightened me…about myself. The desire not to engage the ones that rant. In my past history I would take on anyone who did not agree with my views. I love debate with intelligent, articulate opponents; I can do without the raging ones.

The byproduct of all this residing…here within the FTE forum…is some very intelligent and articulate humans. Ones that…behind a screen and keyboard sometimes show little of who they are………..you have to read between the lines.

The verbal sparring and friendly jousting is what we are made of, I look forward to the next thousand with as much anticipation as the last 1000. The Andy’s, ctfuzzy’s waxy’s dono’s not to mention a theologian or two and a“million looking for a drunkenmonk…. (sounds like a cartoon role call) and many more have been great.
I would revel with pleasure from meeting and shaking their hands. Maybe some day we could.

Heck Shelby has convections and gatherings all over the states, why couldn’t FTE have a gathering??? We could have a blast.

Maybe that question will be my 1001 post!

Speak not against anyone whose burden you have not weighed yourself
and remember the most basic social skill is giving a damn about others

Excellent words to live by, my friend. Thank you for posting them.

Congrats, and welcome to the club. I wish my 1,000th post had been as eloquent as yours. You'll always be welcome here with posts like that one. I am impressed.

I want royalties.

. . just kidding Tim, or Tom, or Bill, or whoever you are at the moment. I enjoy tossing the verbage back and forth with you a great deal!!

happy 1000th.

Think about this; a gathering where each member put up $5.00. There are well over 100,000 members "officially" here.

You could probably serve hotdogs on the good paper plates!!
