OMG!!!
Did anyone see Monster Garage on the discovery channel tonight!!???
The most pointless, useless, but MOST badazz project yet, Peterbuilt powered bike. Jessie James' crew did it again, WOW...
yea i saw that one. pretty cool. his only comment about it was "i love it, it's so worthless." then he raced a new peterbuilt and just smocked it. i wish they had made it with 4 wheels though. seemed pretty stupid with 3 and really looked unsafe.
I watched it, but was disappointed that they didn't build a 2-wheeler as originally planned. Anyone can build a tryc, but building a true 2-wheel motorcycle with a huge engine takes some engineering and creativity. I kept yelling at the TV, "Use two wheels, hold it upright with a gyro", but they wouldn't listen. Good show anyhow.

this months Mens Fitness magazine has an article about Jesse James. pretty interesting.
yeah, it would have been sweet to see them make it on 2 wheels but with the height of the motor... it would tip over once, and claim the life of the person under it. theres no way anyone could lift that off someone before they suffocate.
i loved the way he just ran right out into the street and cut off traffic with it too.

hmmm.... a V8 in my 4wheeler?!?!?!?!?!
Mount a gyro, spin it up, and it would not tip over. Did you notice that is view to his right was completely blocked?

You know ever since I saw the tomahawk I've thought it would be kinda fun to build a powerstroke version only with thin high temp stainless exhuast tubing so it would glow better.
Or one of those mid engine replicars with a PSD in it and a transaxle with the top three or four gears overdrive, no weight, all that low end torque, it wouldn't be quick but the top end would be great.
Dono, he could see to his right. He was sitting to the back of the motor next to the tranny, he could look over the tranny and see clearly. It just had to be to his immediate right, couldnt see anything to the right ahead of time though.
This show comes on at my son's bed time (he's 3), so I always tape it and watch it later. Well, I watched the tape last night, and thoroughly enjoyed when Jesse pulled the two guys aside and basically told them to stop crying. As far as the finished project goes.....

Oh and what is a gyro?
A gyro (short for gyroscope) is basically a rotating wheel with a free axis that when spinning will resist a change in direction. You could mount a gyro on a motorcycle standing upright on its wheels and (with the wheel spinning at high speed) the motorcycle would not fall over. This is not an original idea, years ago I saw a motorcycle with an auto motor and gyro that was built for Bonneville. I spent a night in your town once - nice.

im having a hard time picturing a gyro. im not an idiot when it comes to mechanics, but i just cant get this idea of what it should look like? is there anything i should be able to associate it with to get an image ?
