Wild Turkey

Hmm ... Wild Turkey is quite a bit smoother than Old Granddad. To think I messed around all those years with beer! Ah, bourbon ...

Just never go to a liquor store in Kentucky and buy a bottle of Jack Daniels and a 6 pack of Coke. Tried it once and almost got lynched. I can quote the guy even after all these years. "Son, JD is sippin' whiskey. Don't ever put it Coke! If you need to put Coke in yer whiskey, buy some R&R". One of life's lessons I have never forgotten. I think this life lesson is true for Wild Turkey also, but that's a discussion worthy of another thread!

Crown Royal should not be mixed at all IMHO (unless it's with Mountain Dew for special occasions).

Special Reserve Crown needs only ice cubes.....

Isn't the county where Jack Daniels is made a dry county?

Its a matter of time till some English or French corporation takes them over like the did George Dickle and some others and ruin and or shut down the operation.

I has some 21 year aged scotch over the weekend ... it was so smooth...
Nothing like a good scotch, and a fine cigar (5 vegas)

My current stockpile includes

Jack Daniels Old Num7
Jack Daniels Single Barrel
gentlemans Jack

can ya see what I like? I will take shots of any of em, but only use the Gentlemans Jack as sippin whisky, as when I bought it I paid 40 bucks for that and two real nice glasses it came with. I also have the Single Barrel on display, as it is a real nice bottle, cork and wood top, just looks good. I will also sip on that at times. The norm JAck I keep in teh freezer....after 8 months it is COLD, thick as mollasses and goes down smooth on occasion, when I am not in a beer mood to start the drunkeness, I will mix about 3 shots of jack into a can of Dr Pepper.

BTW Wild Turkey is good for flaming Dr Peppers....what all is in it anyone know? Wild Turkey, vanilla was it? and something else?

Mixing anything with good bourbon is alchohol abuse lest it be a drop of water or a hint of ice(for the ladies).

Well, Andy, it seems we need to get together, I got a good bit left, need to get antoehr bottle of Jack though, by bottle of the norm is running low, need to get antoehr bottle in the freezer, maybe do that today, get antoehr bottle that is. Maybe we can do some whisky tasting next week or this weekend? I am off from friday till the sunday a week and a hlaf later, will be out of town from the 24-27th so between friday and wednesday...let me now...I had a few shots last night...got drunk with a neighbor....he had some new drink he has gotten into, a little ice in it let it get chilled, goes down SMOOTH cannot taste alot of alchohol, and it contains as much as Jack,. it was 87 proof I think,
