reverse going

i have an automatic tansmition in my car and latley i half to reve the car up pretty high to get it to move is their any way to fix this? thank you.

Sounds like the seal on the reverse piston is leaking and requiring more pressure to engage the clutches.

If you had an A4LD

It would definitely be the low/reverse servo seal. A repair anyone could do that had enough ability to change a filter. But, I'm not really smart. I can't even figure out what you drive!

my car is a 64 chevelle malibu 4 door with a 230 in it.
