i flooded my truck pretty bad this mornin so i was wonderin what yall do when yalls truck floods..if it does lol. i already tried the hold the gas all the way down and crank it till it goes method and that has always worked for me. but this mornin....it dont seem to be workin so do ne of yall know ne little tricks to get it to evaporate easier? ne thing would be appreciated.
Well I've done 2 things before...
1) let it sit for a bit
2) Pull spark plugs, burn gas off with a lighter or wire brush it
3) Spray some ether (starting fluid in there) hold it wide open and crank it. It should start up.
A good douse of starting fluid and then cranking is the best quick fix, the ether helps burn/evaporate the extra fuel. And I mean a Healthy dose of fluid, lol.

I have always just held the pedal down until it cranked.
Yea, it was 3
But I mean letting it sit doesn't really count as "fixing" the problem
As it's fixing itself. haha
Plus it was a typo
Make sure that the choke plate is open or it never will start, due to lack of air. If it is flooded to where it won't start by holding it to the floor, then take a screwdriver or something and manually open the choke and stick the screwdriver into the choke linkage to hold it open then try starting it again.
