i have a 1996 Ford F-150
i am looking to put a new exhaust system on my truck and am looking for advice on what system i should use
im looking for better performance and better sound
what do you recommend?
Depends if you want single or dual exhaust? I actually would recommend the single to the muffler with dual to the back trying to keep it all at 2.5" or 2.25" to the back. Also, not sure if you are wanting "LOUD" with that exhaust. I'm not into loud, plus a tip: Try and keep it all Mandrel bent tubing for free flow.
The SUV-Performance muffler is a larger version of Flowmaster's 50 Series muffler and is specially designed for trucks and SUVs. It is also designed to be installed on cars with large displacement engines. This version of the 50 Series muffler features a special tuning chamber which reduces interior resonance and its larger 5" x 10" case for improved sound control and optimum exhaust flow.
What kind of tone are you looking for? Is interior resonance an issue? What is youre budget? Are you looking at a simple catback bolt on, or the whole shebang (headers, high flow Y pipe with cat, and catback)? Personally, I dont like Flowmasters. Everyone and there uncle runs one.
