To slightly defend the 454, the one you get in a GM vehicle is not the same motor that you get for a boat(not the anchor) The ports on a 454 off road engine(boat, not anchor) you could fit a silver dollar in them. The ports for a GM vehicle(anchor for boat) are not even half that size.

Still wouldn't want one, to heavy when they get stuck in the mud and silt.

holy cow!!! i somehow missed the post that acused me of bein a liar! thats ok, i want to give our chevy freind a lil word of advice. when you attempt to call somebodies story a bluff, dont follow yerself up with a story such as the fine example(s) he has givin us! it really does not lend yerself much credibility on yer expertise.

Well, it's getting close. But hey, if a guy wants to post his phone number on an internet site that gets close to a million hits a month, fine!
Yeah, it's obnoxious...but you gotta like the guys passion for his ride!!
However, it's the challenge I see faced with many folks (and for some reason more diesel owners). Their zeal usually comes across as immature and obnoxious. Hopefully soon, he'll learn to have to bring some substance to the discussion.
