Leaky closed knuckles

G'Day,
The closed knuckle ***** in my '75 F250 are leaking badly. Is it possible to change the oil seal and felt without removing hub and spindle etc. I'm thinking that I could probably just remove the two half covers and change the seals but I'm not sure. Any ideas??
Cheers
Greg

It's been a long time since I did this job... but the answer is, Yes, you can fix it without taking the hub apart. I used a ford seal kit. If you look closely, you can see where the part line is, I think at the 3 and 9 o clock position. Just taake out the bolts and rmove the seal. Pretty straightforward job.

Could you do the same thing on a Dana 44? My International needs those seals soon too. Front D-shaft seal on T-case needs attention first though.
