keeping your hubs locked
Sometimes searching isn't easy (or sometimes the server won't allow searches).
Some forums are more repetitive than others, but theres no point in getting fustrated about it. Let someone else answer his question if you've already seen it. You know how many repeat posts I've seen in the last 2 years on this site and 6500 posts later?
or is it just me??
know what I think? I think we all need to get together and go wheeling! everyone os just talking smack, I wanna see some carnage
c'mon guys let's hit some trails. anyone up for that? then we could really meet each other and go wheelin more often rather than bitch here on the board (sorry mustang but I really wanted to put an emphasis on it so i cussed, please forgive me)-jason-
I need to go off-road again soon or I'll go nuts.
i realize this trust me...but you can learn a lot more by reading others posts!!!
look, I did a search and typed in "hubs" in only the offroad section and this is what I got!
i'm really not trying to be a dick but i seriously answered the EXACT same question in the same forum only a day or two before! It's kind of like when ppl on here ask what size tires and lift will fit their vehicle! there are so many differentiations that not one solution will work best for any 2 vehicles...another one I have seen more than once is "what are better off-roading tips?"!
I (and many other ppl) just want everyone to search and lurk around before they post a question that have been answered many many times before!
then get creative, try EGR + vaccum leak, or or or EGR + emissions!! gee there's a thought!
-jason-
ps...learn to spell jurk *jerk*, jerk
What size tires can i fit on a 95 XLT 4x4 regular cab long bed? with no lift and no fender chop

Just my $.02, I have a 72 F-100 front axle under my 95 F-150, and I really don't think that front was designed to run 60 mph down the highway with the hubs locked in, as I can deffinately feel the drag when I do it, so I leave them unlocked until I get where I am going. for slower local driving it works fine, just not on the highway. With a stock front axle under your 250, it should be no problem as long as you keep the speed to a sane level.
uncleben03,
With no lift of fender trimming, you should leave those stock donuts on and stay home all winter, and off the trails all year long. This way I don't have to worry about you spinning into me in the snow. (seriously, 31's will fit with no lift)

I realize that you think you are being funny, but your not. You are just being a moron that likes to start issues with people. As I have already replied to in another post about there are a lot of people on here that have questions and want to learn more about their trucks. Just because you think you know everything there is to know, doesn't mean that there aren't other people out there still looking for answers. GROW UP!! what are you, like 12? Justin, the moderator, has already mentioned to you in this thread about cooling your jets on trying to start arguments. Look back to what jason_2674 (ther person that started this thread) said, and that was if you don't like his question, don't respond to it!!
I apoligize to all others out there that are trying to use this thread as a learning tool, but this guy needs to grow up some, this is not the only post where is has been rude to people asking questions!

seems to me you are the only one getting your panties in a wad....uncleben was screwing with me!
I don't know everything but i have been there and done that and I have a lot of experience under my belt.
Actually no (although I will always be a kid at heart
) I am 20 in college...I think I grew up when I enlisted in the army (I was honorably discharged for medical reasons). And justin was not only referring to me but I guess you have some sort of grudge against me!sounds to me like you just wanted to get in and start something yourself!
Have a nice day

ps remember to smile sometime!
Don't even waste your time with Jason. He obviously needs to grow up before he can give logical advice without resorting to child-like name calling and starting fights. This is a place to ask questions and get answers, not a place to be insulted by a child. He has no place in a 4x4 forum until he can grow up and act like a man. Hell, Im young too but you don't see me insulting people that I don't agree with. Sure it sounds like Im being insulting now but this is a first. Im just saying it's gotta stop. Lets talk Trucks and stop acting like a bunch of sissies.

You are correct about everything. No need to waste my time. Hopefully when that child decides to grow up some more and realize there is a difference between being funny and being insulting to people.
Jason,
No grudges, just think you need to respect other people that are on this board a little more. everyone on here is at a different technical level, what might be easy for some is difficult for others. so lighten up on the newer people asking questions, you were once(or still are) inquisitive or you wouldn't know what you know now. Think about that before bashing or joking someone asking the same question more than once. And actually, I smile quite a bit, especially when I pass a chevy broken down on the side of the road/trail or stuck in the snow/mud.
