Does anyone know the model name for that Ford SUV built in the early 90s that resembled the suburban? I know it was built on the F Series frame. I'm looking for one, but don't know the model name.

The expedition didn't come out until the late 90s and the explorer was basically an s10 blazer. The one I'm talking about is the same size as the suburban with f series body parts (front cap, doors). It's a very rare model, but I do see quite a few here in chicago every once in a while.

I think its the Centurion if it's rare. Nice truck, but didn't sell well because (IMO) it confused the truck market buyer with the SUV buyer, who have pretty different needs. The Centurion took the very truck parts of the truck and turned it into an SUV that was definately no grocery getter. It was an awesome truck, but not enough market interest to keep it alive. To see if it's the one you are talking about check out project mpg (links elsewhere on the board).

The thing was Ford had these made to test the water against the Sub. I had a Centurion and it was great , 4 capt. chairs and a back bench that folded down to make a bed. Mine was 4X4 and it also did very well.
