Help! My 91 F-150 has 110k miles and the engine is starting to leak oil around the transmission. I am trying to determine if I should simply repair the leak, get a rebuilt 302, or upgrade to a 351. I really could use the extra power to tow my trailer over the hills around here, but I have two basic questions for the experts here...
1) Can I drop a 351 in my truck?
2) Would I need a bigger transmission?
I'm doing the same with an 87 F150. I decided to
stay with the 302 as I will not be doing any real
hard hauling. Check thru the pages (all 100 +) on this
forum and you will see that this problem has been addressed many times with much good information being passed
along.
