I always wondered why microwave instructions say to let it stand for a few minutes. Now thanks to Tim, I know it is to let the little micro-waves dampen out. If you took out the package too early, the waves would spill on the floor. The next time you used the oven, it would be short a few waves.

OK-who is watching this forum-Well over 100 now and still not gone. Cow tipping is great fun and the cows don't seem to mind either. Not sure who is smarter? The cows or the tippers===Somebody has "thrown down the gauntlet; I'm starting a new thread. Also getting ready to change my handle to something like (God bless you Bullwinkle) Mr. Know it all. Would anybody notice?
The worst part is that I still don't know what's wrong with my Ranger (see thread 1). Guess I'll have to start over on the Ranger forum. And after all that has been going on, I finally stepped up to the plate and rated this thread as: 1...Worst.
But deep down it's been fun, and I have learned some good stuff about oatmeal!
