My truck is stock. who has experience with aftermarket chips? I want to get a little better mileage and better acceleration. What chips are available for the 6.0L? Where is the best place to buy? What do these chips do to the warranty? The dealer where I bought my truck offered the Bullydog and the Edge.

I'd be wary of dealer participation in this...
even with it in writing....
they may help with warranty issues,
but FORD actually does the warranty and
therefore has the last word ...
which tends to be NO when aftermarket is concerned !
If you want more power, no problem, but if want more milage, your going to have to find a (box) chip that does timing and fuel (fuel dilivery) I have seen a edge box in action, not bad 100hp, I think I would look for a box that does every thing if I were going to get one (fuel-timing-trans. setting-etc.) A complete box will give better fuel milage (2-3mpg) but theres no way you will can drive with 120-140 extra hp and not use it, witch is using more fuel than it is right now, maybe on a long trip with your foot out of it. I don't think you could justify the fuel milage, but I don't think I could own a diesel w\o a box, soo.... I would also look into a flip chip, so you could have differn't settings to chose from, if your wife doesn't like it, she could turn it off, if your at a light and it's go time a nice extra 150hp might do the trick, or if your towing a big 5th wheel, maybe a smooth-safe 50-60hp, you get the point, you might want to contact Ken Payne and see what he can do for you, as he is burning a chip for me right now, his web-adress is www.motorhaven.com or 770-806-1955, he can at least point you in the right direction. Best of luck!!!
