Dream/Reality Setup - Will this move me? :)

Ok, I think I have decided to continue with my rebuild using the following components. Will this build, done correctly, move my CrewCab with some zest?

Bore of .030 or .060
Ford pistons
Crank .010
Rods refurbished
Edelbrock RPM Heads/Intake
Hooker Headers
Erson Rollers
Crane Hydro Lifters
Crane 343941
Edel 600 cfm and first and a possible 750 cfm upgrade as money becomes available

What do ya think?

Money is gonna be rough, but I have no expenses to speak of and I really want to do this right.

I would believe so. With that setup, you should be pushing 400+ hp. Sounds like a nice setup.

I wish edelbrock put out flow numbers for their heads, so I could get a more accurate picture from desktop dyno. When I get a chance I'll run it for 'ya.

From the testing I've done with desktop dyno, you may be better served by a roller cam, if it's in your budget. I'll get back to you on it.

It's still gotta be a street truck that gets me to and from school on a daily basis. What changes would you recommend? I am open to any suggestions you guys have.

I've done some checking on desktop dyno, and I think you've picked the perfect cam. It looks like if you went with the roller cam like I was mentioning, or any bigger of cam, you'd lose low end. Good luck with your project!

Nope, if you are looking for a mild grind for a daily driver then the 941 cam will work great for you. I would shoot for something with about a 110 LCA and more single pattern like if it were me. The edel heads flow pretty good on the exhaust and don't need the crutch. The 941 will still be a good performer though. Edelbrock does have their flow info posted on their website.

With that crew cab being a daily driver, I would make sure that whatever you do, don't give up too much on the bottom end.

Horsepower is nice, but you can't replace lost torque on a truck.

Hmm - think the 941 will be mild enough that I can daily drive but still bring a smile to my face when I really get on it? This is my first rebuild ever, so I have NO idea how "quick" my truck will be.

Sluggish? I dunno.

I think you need more cam for an RPM intake.

I run an 801 and it is a fine street cam. I would have been disappointed if I had gone smaller.
