Changing cam bearings

Greetings all.

I just refreshed my 460 with new rings, main & rod bearings, timing set and oil pump. I did this because I had no oil pressure once the engine warmed up. It's much better now, but the oil pressure still drops to under 10 on the mechanical gauge after about 10 minutes (at 55 mph).

My assumption is that the cam bearings need replacing.

Is this something I can do myself or does it require a trip to the machine shop?

Do the bearings come out the front of the block or out the back?

Thanks in advance.

Kevin K.

Unless you have the proper tool take it to the shop. Your going to have to pull the engine anyway to do this properly.
