Does anybody have any info on the frame construction of Super Dutys? Is it hydroformed like GM and Chrysler? how many crossmembers? Also does ford have any plans to use R&P steering like GM and Chrysler? It would appear GM has done more than ford in these areas.
Don't know too much about the frame itself on these trucks. As far as the steering goes, yes GM may have the better steering truck but remember it is an IFS. I personally am willing to put up with a little wandering here and there to have the bullet proof simplicity in design the Super Duy has. Heck, with a little patience and some good measuring you can align these trucks in your own shop. Have fun doing that with an IFS of any manufacturer.

If he means hydraluc stamped ,I believe they are, then crossmembers
riveted in or bolted ,front frame horns are riveted because of a repair section up front!
Real trucks don't have R@P only light duty trucks desinged to ride like a car. The only truck I ever drove with a R&P system was around in circles and it had numbers on the doors.
