Tire Wheel Combo

Looking to replace my stock wheels and tires on my 2001 F150 2X4. Looking at either 20 " or 22"wheel with 275X55X20 or 305X45X22. Looking at a 5 spoke wheel.

Anyone have either on their truck??? What do you think??

if your not too worried about ride quality, either one would be fine. I drive 30 miles to work one way and did not want to 'bounce' the whole way there. I went from factory 235/70/16 to 255/55/18 and there is a little difference but not too bad. the rims are ARE 6 spoke painted.

yes, the shorter tires have less sidewall height which will not absorb bumps as well.
HD editions come w/ 20s and I've got a buddy w/ 20s. They ride rougher but it depends on what you want. If you drive alot I would go for 18s, if you're more concerned w/ appearance then 20s or 22s are the way to go.
I would talk to someone that has 20s or larger on an F150 and see if they would take you for ride, that way you could compare the ride to yours.

275x55x20 still have plenty of sidewall protection. They are lower profile than stock but not extreme at all. I posted some more information on my other thread regarding my wheels/tires for sale if you want to check it out.
