Code 18 pinpoint test anybody?

Code 18 pinpoint test anybody?
I've got a continuous code 18 on my 2.9. Checked the local libraries, and can't get a hold of a decent manual. Can anybody help me out with the pinpoint test?
PS. already checked out the basics, changed distributor, tfi module, and cleared codes, but 18 keeps coming up. Its an '86.
