Tried to start truck temp was 17 degrees and falling could not get it going. Didnt plug it in long enuff apparently maybe 1 hour. Truck white smoked out the rear and almost started but then suddenly it stopped almost starting and feel dead. Batteries are Strong, left it plugged in all day drained the filter compartment but she still wouldnt start. Bought some anti gel / injector cleaner and dumped it in fuel tank and filter compartment still no start. Tried some starting fluid fired right up and died. Sprayed a few more times same results. Is it possible the fuel rails gelled up?
And if so how do I get the gel out or degel them? Please help.
Truck is a 1996 F250 PSD Auto
A good friend of mine just went through the same problem,Twice! He's got a '99 PSD. He had the cam sensor replaced then three weeks later the truck died on him again.
The dealer again replaced the same sensor and he hasn't had any problems .
I hope this helps.
