Oil in intake??

I was doing something to my truck this weekend where i had to remove the air box and when i did, i noticed some oil in the intake hose just before the turbo. Is this something to be concerned about? It looks like it came up from the scoop in the intake hose that is conected to the drivers side valve cover. (1/98) '99 PSD

Not a problem if it's just a light film. Is it gritty with dirt? You can tell how well your air filter is working by smudging it with your finger to see if it has dirt in it.

This is normal. Should be coming from the crankcase breather assembly.

thanks for the replys guys, makes me feel better to know that its sort of normal. My air filter was getting restrictive and im testing one that i got in a package deal a while back for now. Does the crankcase breather assembly need to be cleaned or anything or should i just forget about the slight ammount of oil?
