Hey there,
I've had my truck overheat a couple times. My radiator's an original so I figure the truck could use a new one when I put the new 390 in real soon. I'd like to put one of the "oversize" or "swamp cooler" radiators in it- Does anybody out there still manufacture these? Does anybody make shrouds? Thanks.
i have a brand new 3 row in my truck and it will never overhead but i also but a 180 degree thermstate so my motor will never overhead, works great on my 360 v8 in my 71, but i saw you live in portland oregon i live here 2, theres a shop on 67th on foster called M**'* , then ask for the on with the 2 year warranty, its a brand new 3 row, for $120.00 ive been runnin if for along time now its a great one check it out just make sure to ask for the 2 year warranty one, not the life time warranty, there $200 are maybe you might want to step up but mine works great and i run it allmost everyday, 4x4, etc. GOOD LUCK!!

Well I run what they use to call the desert cooler And it came stock on alot of Camper specials and its a 4 row... its in my 70 F250 with 390 and C6 and I have never had an over heating problem with it?? even when the Camper was on it and towing the race car? you might get lucky and find one in a Bone yard!! hope this helps some!! Russ
I upgraded my 360 to a four row Modine that I got from Las Vegas radiator. It wasn't much more than a smaller radiator. Well worth the peace of mind that the engine will NOT!! over heat ever.
When I replaced the stock 352 in my '67 with a mild 390, I stepped up to a 4-core. The three core would have worked, but with the 4-core I never have to worry about cooling again. Get the best you can afford. It's good insurance for the future.
i put the radiator out of my b600 bus in my 71 f250 it is the same width as the old radiator but it is a taller radiator i moved it down and bolted it in .no overheating in fact the 330xd motor runs a lot cooler it also has the trans cooler for the allison at540 in the bottom the tranny runs cool .
