Considering buying Expedition any basic probs.?

Hi all,
While I am quite familiar with the quirks and such with Explorers (have a 96 V6) I have been considering upgrading to a newer Expedition and was wondering what the standard quirks are with those such as with Explorers it's common for the O2's and IAC to go, along with having u-joints without grease zerks til you replace them etc but you can put alot of miles on them before any problems mine is currently at 214,194. Mostly wondering how well they take lots of miles, I average 30-40,000 per year, and how well they take snowy uphills on mountain roads, towing etc.
Thanks!

You will find a huge improvement in snowy driving and towing. Be prepaired for the fuel consumption tho.

he had a word misspelled, but actually had a part of that word quite accurate. If you get an 03/04 be ready to take it in a lot for REPAIR.repair

going on my second try tomorrow. first one was replaced.

Just another opinion.
I currently have a 96 Explorer V6 4x4 (93k mi) and have been very pleased. Did have to replace the IAC and 1 fuel pump. We also have an 03 Expedition XLT 5.4 4x4 (13k mi). We have had no problems with the Expedition and I find that the ride and handling are better than the GM alternatives. The 3rd row seat is actually comfortable for real adults and the fold flat option is very nice.
over all I rate the 03 Expedition
