EGR delete

Looking at a 2022 F-250, it says it’s deleted and tuned with a tow tune. From the pictures the egr is still on the truck. Do the tunes disable the egr or is it still active. New to the 6.7 engine.

Is the programmer still with the truck?
Does the seller know who wrote the tune?
If "no" to either question, I would think twice about making that purchase.

In theory all you need to do is unplug the EGR, you haven't HAVE to remove the hardware. If you don't, best practice would be to at least block off the EGR port on the exhaust manifold so the cooler doesn't clog with soot and cause issues. Most remove but it isn't totally required.

Dot be afraid of buying it, there are several ways to deal with an unknown tune/no tuner just shop around and adjust your offer accordingly. Our neighbors to the north still have the freedom to delete their vehicles.
