It's Fixed!!!!!
Hi Guys! I had complained about my '01 Expy having a whining noise at times when you let off the gas and when the car was at idle. I went to the Ford dealer and picked up a PCV Vavle. Just so you know, when you get the vavle, it also comes with the long hose, so you have to reach all the way to the back of the motor to replace the stupid thing. Anyway, I got the vavle (and hose) on the car and the whining has stopped!!! Also, my oil pressure was dropping below the L in the mornings when the engine was cold and the light next to the guage would come on. So I also got a sending unit and that problem has been eliminated as well. Guys, the Ford dealer told me that to fix these problems, I needed to just go ahead and replace the motor. At a cost of $3400, I just wasn't going there. The total cost out of pocket to me was $34.54.
