AMP Bedstep is one of my best purchases for this truck. I tried one of those tailgate ladder steps from Harbor Freight and it was constantly in the way. This AMP Bedstep is exactly what I needed.

Agreed. The AMP step is on my top 3 list of additions to my truck. https://ampstep.com/ I love it!

Someone dropped the tailgate on my 2025 king ranch in my warehouse right on the corner. Said it was surprisingly heavy once it came loose.

Really more of a headache than anything.

I just installed the amp step and I like it. Easy install and solid construction. At 55 I'm tired of climbing onto the tailgate multiple times a day (electrician)

If a truck came without the tailgate step I could see adding the small step to the corner of the bumper.

No way is that little step better than a tailgate step especially if ordering a truck. $375 for the tailgate step or $330 for the over priced little step.

I previously had a GMC with the number corner steps. I’ve also always had bed topper canopies. I miss the corner steps on my ‘22 Super Duty. Seldom use the tailgate step. It’s just kind of clumsy, in my opinion. Of all the “fancy” tailgates out there now, I think the GM multi-pro is probably the most useful, except that you can’t use it with a hitch in the receiver.

I love my tailgate step and I use it all the time......of course I've had two hip replacements and am not as limber as I used to be. Weight is irrelevant to me as I've never removed the tailgate and don't plan to. The GM tailgate would be useless for me as it would interfere with my hitch making it unusable for 90% of the time I'd need it. The sidesteps and corner steps are also largely useless for me as we have a topper on the truck........and I'll suggest a fair percentage of trucks have one.

I vote autowrecker for a used tailgate with the step......hopefully your truck is white!

My Platinum came with the factory corner step (Likely an AMP). When I replaced my bumper with an ICON I had to cut & weld the step to get it to fit but I am glad I did.

Amp Bed Step

I’m thankful I don’t have the bed and bumper steps. I put an Amp Step on mine. When it is extended it is 17 inches off the ground. If I had a bumper steps they would be about 27 inches off the ground. For long legged people that’s probably fine. For people that are 69” tall and shorter not really. My 5 foot wife can use the Amp Step and she loves it. Very well built and sturdy.
