We woke up to 40 degrees yesterday, and 42 this morning (and in the fog). Mighty nippy for a June 6 or 7.

Happy Monday Nor-Cal. Only going to be 87 today. The heat arrives Wednesday supposed to be 104. So, only two days of high 80's to enjoy. I have no plans except to stay inside.
Drove the truck yesterday, took it to one of those DIY car washes and rinsed off the dirt from sitting for a while. Even put $40 worth of gas in it. Corner station has it for $4.99 a gallon cash price. Took advantage of that. Truck ran fine all day.

Nothing new to report here. Supposed to be a high of 97 today, and that is the last day of under 100 temps for the next 10 days. Ugh.

Sweet! Wish it was 70 here. Currently it is 94.
Scooter went into the shop. They sent a tech out to replace the motor, but he said it was not possible since it had melted the plastic surrounding it. He had to take it to the shop to fix. Said it should be back by tomorrow. Hope so, being without it hampers my ability to do a lot of things.

Today is the day , to see if I was drawn for Elk hopefully, not much going on , playing mechanics on some of my yard equipment that’s been neglected, my pressure sprayer pump replacement and hose , weed eater carb, and now my blower choke handle broke , well it’s been broken for years but it’s time to fix it , next I need to put shocks on the ford , that’s going to require rolling around on the ground , I’ll round up some padded cardboard , have a cool weekend gents

Not likely. SpaceX lost about $4billion last year. All of that can be attributed to XAI, which lost around $6billion. SpaceX is almost profitable, but they only have $18 billion in total revenue. At best they are worth maybe $500 to $700 billion. No where near the around $2 trillion this IPO got them. The people who will make money are the early (pre-IPO) investors. Luckily for some is that they are prohibited from selling for a while. I don't know what the lockout period is; it could be as short as 90 days, but is typically more like 180 days.

We can re-visit this at the end of the lockout and see how many of the early investors bail out.

The power went out this morning at 1am. I was trapped in my recliner. Pitch black. I called PG&E and was told it would be back up around 4:45am. I tried to go to sleep, but it took some doing. Woke up twice before the power was restored at 3:30am.
I decided to put a small LED flashlight I kept in my scooter basket on the small table next to my electric recliner. Then I remembered I had a 500-watt battery backup from APC in my cupboard from days gone by. I originally had two 750-watt battery backups as well as the 500, but they stopped working years ago so I threw them out but kept the 500. I now have the recliner plugged into that, and it is plugged into the wall. Hopefully should the power go out while I am in the recliner it will give it just enough juice to get the recliner up enough so I can get out of it.
