Another rainy day here. I have enough projects started including painting my house so I’m just poking around my garage. I have an extra icp and a cable so I figured I’d try a dual icp test. Easy enough to install and the cable connects the ebps pigtail to the added icp. Now here’s where I’d like some help. Forscan shows a limited value for ebps and forscan lite doesn’t have the ability to change the formula for a pid. But scanguage2 does allow adjustment of the formula or math for a given pid. Has anyone else tried it? Diesel tech Ron monitored voltage for ea icp sensor. Im thinking seeing actual psi would be great.

The PCM does math to report pressure values. Sometimes those values aren't actual, such as when the PCM deems the ICP sensor untrustworthy. The voltage values reported by the PCM are actual values. That's why voltages are better to rely on when doing any diagnostics.
I feel like it's a quick way to diagnose a hpo leak. If I suspect that it's a problem, being able to narrow down which bank would be nice. I know it can be done with air, but this method seems easier. Especially when working on a 7.3 van.

That's a interesting, I learn something everyday. I'll look into forscan lite and see if I can change it to provide voltage. I know auto enginuity can provide voltage, im not at all that serious about this.

I haven't looked too hard, but I haven't seen a way to do that in lite. Doesn't mean it isn't there, though.
