Proud owner of a 1996 F250 7.5L FI. It would be an HD (Front end and tow package) except Ford didn't start that designation until 97. Was built early in the year, so still had ODB-I port. It also had auto locking hubs that I recently replaced with manual ones. I have followed this forum forever and joined so I could contribute back to the community.
I grew up on a farm, our main vehicle was a 1962 "wrongbed" that a nephew just restored. The first car I owned was a 1966 Galaxy with 390 4bbl. I bought the car for $100 and rebuilt the engine. After I got too many tickets, I sold it and bought a Pinto, then a 5.0L Mustang, Taurus, Full size Bronco 4x4, Ranger, F250 4x4, Escape 4x4, Edge, Edge AWD. Still have the F250, sold the Escape to my neighbor and one of the Edge's to my parents. Do almost all my own work.
I think my favorite car ever was the 1986 Bronco XLT 5.0EFI but I sold it for the 1996 F250 that I have today because I wanted a camper. Love the F250, but still miss my Bronco, Honestly, every vehicle since then has been a Ford and I like each one less and less. My 2017 Edge Titanium is probably the last Ford I would buy. Makes me sad.
I just the F250 for camping, occasional hauling and filling up all my free time keeping it on the road.
