6.0 Fast Idle

Got my new F250 A month ago, runs great no problems. A buddy of mine has the same truck, only it's eight months old. The only differance is his will go into A fast idle if it ildes for more than A minute. The rpm will go from 600 to 750, if you hit the throtle it will idle back down. Mine always idles at 600, cold, hot or long idle time. No complants, just whats normal for A PSD 6.0?

Mine goes into a fast idle on cold startup after about a minute. After It warms up it cuts back down unless I touch the brake pedal to shift into drive then it slows down.

Fast idle

Test drove a 04 about two weeks ago that did the same thing. Cold start up about 30 degree f. Slow idle at first and then went into a fast idle until i hit the pedal and it kicked back to low idle.
