i have a 2011 f150 xlt, and recentlly i have had an issue with my power windows on the drivers side switch.
If the truck is running the drivers side window will not go up or down, however if i turn the key off and put in the run position the window works fine.
the passanger side window works sometimes and not others.
What would cause the switches to work fine in the on position but not in the run position?
I have tried resetting them, as everyone says hold the button, that doenst do a thing here.
The windows are controlled by the body control module (BCM). Inside the BCM is the accessory delay relay. This relay allows the windows to operate for a period of time after the ignition is turned off. If the BCM is not turning on this relay (the Micro box in the drawing designates programming in the BCM) when the engine is running, that may be the problem. I don't know how to test this. You would need a scan tool or Forscan to maybe see if the BCM is sending the Accy delay relay a signal.
But I would start by measuring voltage at the master window switch Pin 3 (green wires).
