Hi all,
I know this question has been asked before,
But has anyone successfully had their older 99-01 headlights replaced with the "clear" 02-03 headlights? Can the dealer do this, and will they fit?
I'd figure I'd ask here before spending $500 on them.
It should be really simple. I helped a buddy of mine do it, and it's fairly easy. The bolts and everything were the same, and his truck is a 2000. Also, you may want to check eBay. They have all kinds of crazy deals on lights and what not. I got clear tail lenses for 45 bucks, when the same set from a shop around here was 125!
Hope this helps...

Please, PLEASE be very careful with the person or company you're dealing with. A lot of these parts are, well, let me put it this way: the person selling them is not necessarily the "rightful owner," if you catch my drift. I'd hate to think good, honest people are supporting less-than-honest folks just for the sake of a few dollars. I can't order a 2003 Mustang Cobra with chrome wheels right now, yet they turn up on E-Bay for sale. How do you think they get there?
1956MarkII, you raise a good point. I'm pretty **** about checking the sellers feedback before I even think of bidding. I've run into a couple of crooked folks on ebay. Talk about bein !!! For the most part though, I have had a good experience with ebay.

Thanks for the replys so far guys !
I plan on getting the lights through my Ford dealer, for the full price. I will not get them from E-bay, or an aftermarket place. I was just wondering if, when the dealer gets the lights that they will be able to put them on for me.
The guy I talked to in the parts Dep. said "once you buy them, thier yours" So, I dont want to get screw** if the dealers go to put them in, and they tell me they don't fit.
From: I'm lost somewhere in NJ -- can someone please find me?!?!?!?
Quick (easy) question for you' all
Don't get too scared by everything you're reading here (come on guys, don't feak him out!). The clear lights are a quick, simple, easy, mod. I do not suggest wasting your $$$ buying from a dealer, nor having them install it. It's your cash, so spend it as you would like, but few, if any, actually buy such items from dealers. Even less have had problems. Your truck, your call though.
