Block casting codes

Block casting codes
The engine I pulled out of my '66 has D2AE-6015 and 2F22. What if anything does the 2F22 stand for? I know it's not the original engine.

2F22 = It was cast June 22 1962

That seams odd since the D2 would mean 1972 and it's a 240 not a 223.

You are correct, I saw the D2 and still went 62 in my head. So yes, it was cast June 22 1972
