Wondering if this is normal. Can’t usually see a filter on my lower cars so I’m unsure if the gasket is normally seen. Is the gasket being seen normal? Can’t normally see the filter on my cars. And this is the first change I’ve done on my truck.

I'd say it is probably normal, but you could pull it back off to check and make sure the old gasket didn't stay on when you put the new filter on.
