So i have had 2 sets of Die Hard Batteries in the truck. 2013 f450 6.7 lariat. Nothing special running. Pull a 45' 5th wheel frequently. In thr middle of a trip. 3 day driving break and now the truck wont start. Batteries are down to 4v and doesn't look like they want to take a charge. I am reconditioning one now. But have low hopes.
What have y'all been using for battery replacements?
Yes. I don't know if it's everywhere, but every time I saw a truck delivering batteries to the Walmart near me in CT, it was a Deka truck. I've had good luck with the Everstart Maxx group 65s.
Looking for FLA or AGM? I get my batteries from batteries plus as i like Enersys AGM's(Odyssey Extreme); these are the B+ X2's. East Penn/ Deka are under the Duracell name.
We have had threads on this in the 6.0 section of the forum and the Walmart batteries almost always come out on top. Even after a deep dive on all the different manufacturers under each brand name the Everstart is at the top.
I installed 2 Everstart AGM's installed 12/2021 they just died last week, so replaced them with the samething. I do keep a NOCO Genius GEN5X1 plugging in when ever truck is not being used.

Sounds like you stopped for 3 days? Was the trailer unplugged from the truck?
Definitely sounds like a parasitic draw issue, that you'll want to diagnose or you'll end up in the same situation again.
As for batteries...I've been hitting the Walmart Everstarts for years. They have the best price and last I checked (been a while since I needed a battery) a decent warranty period too.

interesting...that's a very short life for an AGM, especially if it was kept on a maintainer when not in use
I guess if you are happy with that...but you should be getting double to nearly triple that.
My last set of AGM's were Diehard platinum made by Enersys. They were rebranded Odyssey Extremes. they lived an abused life and never touched a maintainer. They showed a sign of weakness between 10-11yrs and I replaced them. they probably just needed to be charged and would have survived another few yrs. I felt I got my monies worth and didn't even have them tested, but they never died
I'm currently running Batteries Plus X2's which are Enersys Odyssey Extremes. we'll see how long they make it. They are already going on the 4 yr mark. I have been using a Victron maintainer on them for the past yr though, otherwise they live the same abused life as the die hards did.
