It doesn’t have a base. I built a roll around work bench with 2x4s on edge, glued and all-threaded together. I laid a piece of 3/16” steel sheet over the 2x4s. On one end are 2 1” pipe-lined pritchel holes. The other end has 2 -1/2” pritchel holes. The 1/2” polished stainless tube fits in the 1/2” hole, a collar holds it at height. Figured you would like the Y-block light. Wrong color, but works for me.
the rest of the light is a dual socket piece from Menards, and some bits of scrap to hold it together. I think I got the tube from the local iron monger. I filled with sand and used a conduit bender at work. Then I polished it.

Pretty cool stuff, Owen. Here's the side table and lamp I built for my Mobilgas themed library. I've since moved in a recliner and filled the shelves with old books and magazines. The picture on the wall was a puzzle we found that coincidentally is Wayne's Garage, that I decided was suitable for framing.
My stool. Seen a similar one for sale but they wanted $450 USD for it. By the time I get it, it would be about $750-$800 Can. That's not happening. My brother has a plasma cutter so he cut the steel plates for me and dimple died the round holes. The seat has 4 steel dowels in it to keep it in place when on the stool. Take it off and its a knee pad. My wife found some leather and a foam pad somewhere for a couple of bucks. 4" castors off Amazon, some red spray paint, a bit of time and it works great. Perhaps not a pretty as the factory unit but way more cost effective.
