Hello so I have what I believe to be a 2005 sterling rear end… I thought that because it came out of a 2005 f350… then nothing fit.. so I thought maybe it’s a 2004 rear end… those parts also don’t fit. Basically I’m swapping a one ton rear into a custom 1972 bronco and trying to put new brakes on it.. but nothing fits so hoping for some wisdom thanks
a SRW would have a sterling, a DRW would have a dana 80. Maybe post some pics of it.
The F350 sterling for an 05 does have beefier axles than an F250 and they have beefier brakes than an 03/04 IIRC
Shouldn't be difficult to get the proper parts. There could be a difference between a diesel rearend and a gasser, not sure. What size are the axle tubes?
Worst case, you'll need to get the Bill Of Material numbers off of it...probably stamped on the tubes somewhere
