Remote start anyone?

Has anyone had a remote starting system installed in their F150? Is their anything to look out for or beware of?

I have remote start and it sure is nice. I had mine installed when I got the truck by the dealer. There are 3 different kits, make sure the one you get matches the accessories (locks, alarm, etc). My dealer ordered the wrong kit for mine the first time and it wouldn't work all my features. After they got the right parts it took four hours to install (it was their first one). All in all it is nice, now the truck is warm or cool when I get in and it's ready to go. If the remote start is used to start the truck it can't be driven until you put the key in and turn it on. If you open the door without the remote it kill it's self and the same for putting your foot on the brake to take it out of park or opening the hood. I could have installed it my self but the truck was new and I usually have a little trouble with something and I could see myself messing up something. Murphy's Law! The next one will have it too!

$398 for the kit and $165 labor. They only charged for 3 hours because the book called for that. I guess they have to eat the learning curve. I have had it for a little over a year and haven't had any problems with anything. One remote has a better range than the other but it is nice. It will start at around 100 feet away.
