Cabs are they the same???

I found a 34 ford truck cab and grill shell in a barn today. There is no frame for the truck, but it is for sale. The guy said it was a bigger truck than a half ton(1-ton,1.5 or so on). I was wandering if the cab would be the same as a half ton? If it is I will be going and picking it up tommorrow. Thanks!!

Generally, 1/2 ton up thru 1 1/2 ton cabs are the same - at least that has been std Ford practice.

Hey mtflat, what was the biggest (in tons) truck made in 34?Well, you are the 3rd person that said it would be the same. I just want to make sure, sure, before I go hand over any money. Anyone else have a answer?

Yes, they were generally the same with maybe a few changes in the floor pan to accomidate a gas tank for under the seat for a few years. I think that your best bet would be to find the measurements of the 1/2 tons and find if they match the cab you're looking at.

The sizes went up above 2 tons, but I have no idea what the biggest size would be. But even those seem to be the same. Measuring will tell you for sure.
