What is the purpose of the phone Bluetooth connection ?
It uses the app on your phone to change the settings.
If you buy the version with the extra control panel like I did, you can use that instead, in case you don't have your phone with you.
Kind of wish I had skipped buying that version and saved the extra bucks.
On my '19 there is no throttle sensitivity in reverse, it is stock with the pedal monster. Also there is a slow speed ramp in forward so at parking lot speeds it slowly ramps up until about 10mph or so.. it has settings.. tip in I think they call it..
This is some of the reasons I replaced a pedal commander for the pedal monster.
Pedal commander no obd2 connect and power, draws off power in throttle circuit, pedal monster draws power off obd2 instead of throttle circuit.
On Bluetooth control, pedal monster will not allow changes while moving, hooked to the idash Guage it will. I had 2 of these, one Bluetooth control on a 07 Yukon, and a other with a dash on 19 f 350
Went down after breakfast a while ago, started out on the "sport+" mode, setting it about 3/4 of the way up the adjustment scale.
Seems to take a throttle pedal push or two before the new setting goes live, but then it was so much faster accelerating, probably would be a fun setting for playing around.
Then I stopped and cranked it up to the "Race" mode at the max scale setting, after it went live it was like WOOSH!!! Barely on the throttle and was suddenly screaming down the road. Would be a dangerous setting in the wet!
Turned the mode back to my original sport setting, comfortable there.
So, as per my deer crash thread, made a trip up to northern Indiana over the weekend and played around a bit with the controller.
Going up bobtail, I tried ECO mode, felt much like it did before adding the controller, unfortunately had a fair headwind going up, so fuel economy wasn't great, just about 22.
On my way back, pulling a small 26 ft, 5300 pound travel trailer, I switched back to SPORT mode, but dialed it back from about the #7 adjustment notch to the #3 and think that was the perfect spot for towing that trailer.
Super responsive and seemed to be back on my previous experience fuel economy-wise, even though the previous day's wind had reversed and I was bucking a headwind again.
Can't give an exact fuel economy number as I never fill the tanks on return miles, hunting cheapest fuel, but my guess is about 11.5.
Anyway, definitely satisfied with how the throttle controller is working.
