Question 5th wheel hitch

5th wheel hitch mounting in bed fo truck where would you mount the hitch. 1" inch a head of axle or 2' inchs behind axle?

in front, your hitch should have instructions to tell you

All the hitches we put in go either right above the axil or slightly ahead of the Axil

My hitch and the brochure i received from ford said to put my hitch 1 inch in front of the rear axle. that basicly puts the ball right over the axle when you are hooked to the 5th wheel.
