Had a new water pump installed and after the job (too far to tow back) lost power and realized the alternator mounting bracket is cracked. I'm having trouble finding the right part. I'd rather go oem if possible as all the new ones look completely different, super smooth and shiny with none of the extra ridges or even the same shape. Does anyone have any input on this?
Thanks for any help!

Local junkyards,eBay or car-part.com Someone got a little overly strong on the bolts?
Found a few on ebay but they all look a little different, or maybe I'm blind... I haven't looked at car-part.com, never heard of it. Thank you!
Yeah, the mechanic said "lots of old things were breaking" like clamps and bolts and whatnot. He said he replaced things so the job took longer than he expected. When I told them about the bracket they said to bring it back and they'd cover the cost of the replacement and work. It cost me more to tow it there than the labor!
That price is dumb! Any downside to ordering used? Assuming someone doesn't overtighten a bolt! This looks right... https://ebay.us/m/QX3x2n
Im not against used at all! To me that price is still high, but a lot better! If you cared what it looks like under the hood, you could always clean it before install. I just did a quick glance when I found the other one!
Thinking on it, I don't see how the truck would lose power/acceleration from a power steering pump bracket issue. I drove it home super slow, battery light came on and acceleration was choppy under second gear. Maybe I have more than one issue.

Broken bracket would cause that. Sounds like either your alternator is going bad or bad electrical connections.
