Mine dropped in Thursday
friday I went to see what changed and reconfigure the my view screens
Thursday dte was 672 and full tsnl
Friday it read 377...still showing full tank..which it was
this morning on way to dealer for trailer break and ecm recsll the dte continued to drop
And never recovered my lost 300 os so miles to dte
mpg still read 19.4 in all three screens
Hopefully it chooses to reset, it was 19 miles to dealer
Def is at 62...surely the update does not look at def as a point of reference now for dte
Like it does in trailer tow???
I am quite glad my truck was the last year before OTA updates like this! If it's just an "emission update" that would be a pass for me... I still haven't done the 22E04 "emissions update" for my 22!

that’s because the dealer did a stationary regen. Mine with the same, soot was at zero. It’s recovered since then.

no dealer had not touched it
Prior to the ota
Dpf at zero is pretty much normal
Unless I get stuck in traffic or long idles at ramp
It passive regens pretty steady
And once its at 35 to 40 percent an I git the magic 500 or 600 mile window it does a commanded regen
and it then stays at zero long time
19.1 is inline with math at each fieach
thats mostly 65 for short periods with 30 to 45 mph
stop go and longer idles at ramp etc
Highway has been stbady afyer around 40 miles sustained over 70 to. Jump to 23
been very pleased
Even squeezed 16 towing the boat at 70
The ota downloaded at home
Its at dealer now for the other 2 recalls
Trailer break and the other ecm item
I hope they don't fluck up the engine
It does burn more def
But lots less egr activation

truck cane home today
the 2 recalls in ford pass, the one for PCM and TBC were done
but the PCM had already gone through via OTA and they could only get paid .3 for checking
truck ran as before, have a long run tomorrow we shall see
So I don't have enough evidence to make this claim yet, but today my truck did a regen and for the first time it cut it short when I came to a park. The DPF% went to 100%, regen started, continued for 8 mins, then when I parked the truck (still idling), the regen stopped. DPF% dropped to 83% and stayed there. On next start, DPF% was still 83%. So I'm wondering if the update maybe made the truck "smarter" in that it will stop the regen if in Park.

iirc
Once truck is in park
The regen stops if in the auto regen mode
At least thats how it worked in my 21
This 24 seems to blast through the cycle
Fast
And have yet to have to shut truck off or park before its complete
My 22 has always stopped an active regen when shifting into Park. I found that out one day when driving down a 2 lane road doing a regen and had to come to a stop at a construction area that narrowed us down to to 1 lane. I was stopped for a few minutes and the regen was still active, so I figured I would put it in park and switch the high idle on while I continued to wait... but as soon as it hit park the regen status changed to OFF. So, from then on, even if I have to come to a stop during an active regen, I just leave it in drive.
Yes, placed into park, these trucks shut off the regen... mine does it in about 30 seconds IIRC. My train of thought is that maybe this is so the injectors on the driver's side (think that is the side that injects extra fuel on the exhaust stroke to get DPF hot -- only for the trucks up to MY22, NOT you 23 plus guys with the 9th injector)... so the injectors do not remain under pressure and extra fuel drips into the combustion chambers getting into the oil, but I could be wrong...
Nice thing about a digital monitor is that EGT4 or in the case of the 23 plus trucks, EGT5 I believe, you know when the particulate filter is still hot and you can keep the truck idling to bring the filter temps down so there's less risk of the honey comb substrate from cracking from hot temps with no exhaust flowing through it. I could be wrong but that's the way I see it...
My truck has always stopped the regen after a few seconds if the truck is placed in Park. Mine goes in Thursday for it's latest round of software updates.
