Generally speaking, Red Head and Blue Top both will actually replace worn parts in them where parts store rebuilds will only be re-sealed boxes. On the Ford boxes where Ford did not install a bearing, "they were just metal to metal" Red Head and Blue Top machine the boxes and install bearings. Considering the amount of work involved with changing a steering box, do it once and do it right.
