I recently replaced all the dash cluster lights with LEDs. After reassembling the dash I found that all the “idiot” lights work but the turn signal indicator lights didn’t nor did the cruise light. The cruise still works BTW you just can’t tell it’s on. So I took it all apart, fooled around with the LEDs reconnected it and still no turn signal indicator or cruise light.
so I disconnected it again and replaced those three lights with the old incandescent bulbs. Now the turn signal indicator lights work but still no cruise light.
What do you think? Bad socket? Bad circuit? Something else?
Your knowledge has been incredibly valuable in the past. Thanks in advance.
The turn signal lamps are controlled by the multifunction switch. If the signals work, the lamps should work. The cruise control module sends a signal via some solid state circuit (transisior probably) to the cluster. I didn't know if that circuit got damaged. But, looking at the connector on the cluster, the turn signals and cruise control are next to each other. Check the connector wires and if it is being seated properly.
