I carry the full size Benchmade Elishewitz with a blacked out blade and the combo edge. Carry it every day, unless I need to dress up, then it is a Case Canoe.
My Benchmade has to be indestructible, because I haven't broken it yet!

Several:

Swisstool--an older one, without some of the newer blades

Gerber Bolt-Action--4" blade

Swiss Army Mechanic--Comes in handy when I can't carry the Swisstool

Swiss Army Officers--basic black, great for dress-up situations

I have a couple of the Gerber tools, but don't really like either of them. Wouldn't mind a Wave, though.

Leatherman Wave is my daily work piece. My Mrs got me a Cutco pocket knife as a gift. That little knife is a wonder! We have since bought the fish fillet knife and a few others. Great Knives but expect to pay top dollar for them.
There are specialty knives for every use now. So may every man pick and choose his weapon!

Oh yeah... Never bring a knife to a gun fight!

The Benchmade is a nice knife! A slight bit large, for both my purposes and my budget, but still nice!

Jimmy Dean - What do you do for a living that you can't have a knife on your person? Just curious...

I've got a little stainless folding knife (about 2" closed, maybe 3 3/4" open) with carry holster that I keep on my belt at all times, even in dress clothes at work (right next to the cursed cell phone). I've worn out the holster belt loop twice now.

It amazes how often having a sharp little knife on your belt comes in handy.

I use and love my Spyderco single lock blade knife as the everything knife. It's a stainless steel blade and handle and clip. the blade is about 3.5" and the outer half is a straight blade and the inner half is serrated. Sharpest pocket knife I've ever used. Very very useful tool. Since the 2 blade types are on one blade it takes up less room in my pocket. I love it to death. I've used it so much the last 6 years that I've recently sent it to Spyderco to have them professionally resharpen it for me. I can't wait to get it back!!!

I have a one blade Estwing lockback, wooden handle, brass bolsters, three inch blade. It holds an edge pretty well. I carry it for my everyday knife, and it gets plenty of use at the warehouse and on the farm. I've had it for about 10 years now.

For the times I get dressed up, I have a small Swiss Army knife in a nylon pouch (not sure what model it is). It's small enough to lie flat in my pocket, and has enough tools to get me out of most jams that I run into.

On my keyring I have a small screwdriver set and a pair of mini-pliers, and I also carry a small Maglite flashlight.

I put all this in my pockets before I get out of the house, plus money (bills in a clip and loose change), my wallet, a pad and pen, a bandana (useful for anything from keeping ears and neck warm to its obvious use) and a comb. As my girlfriend says, I "go pretty well-armed".
