I bought several history reports a while back and one was about to expire so I ran one on my '85. I found I'm the 5th registered owner. The truck was built and converted in 1985. It stayed with the dealer until 1987 when it was sold with 8000 miles. Evidently it was used as a service loaner truck and as a show room draw. The second owner bought it in 1992 when it had 12,290 miles. Owner #3 bought it in 2023 with 86,000 miles. Owner #4 got it in early 2024. Between the two of them, they added nearly 50,000 miles. I'm #5 and it had 137,000 miles when I got it. It's odd for this old of a vehicle to get 25,000 miles per year, but not unheard of.
Year ago Feb I bought a 2007 Crown Vic with 21,500 miles on it. It came out to about 1.200 a year. The car fax had the oil changed every year not because of miles but because of time.
It came out to about 1.200 a year. It also sowed the battery was checked every few years and I think it was because it was not driven enough to keep the battery charged.
I have not had any Issues with the battery or the car in the year I have had it.
Down here they say dealers are owners when they buy a car / truck. I am the 2nd owner to drive the car but 2 dealers owned it between the first owner and me.
They are out there just have to be at the right place at the right time.

PS the car has just under 30K at this time.
