It's a 2010 E-250 with the original 4.6L, she has 125k miles.
Recently, only on the first start up of the day. The engine will make a "clacking" sound for like, not even two seconds. Then completely goes away. If you turn it off and back on, it doesn't make the sound. Heck, I can start her up in the morning hear that sound. Then 4 hours later fire her up and no sound. Seems to only be first start of day and it is so short it's hard to get a gage on where it's coming from. Definitely an engine sound though. At least I'm 80% certain.
I did the intake manifold at 119k miles and have not had any issues until 125k miles, and that issue is thos start up sound. No engine light. Idles and runs great.
Also I only have been using Motorcraft 5W-20 and FL820S filters.
Is a timing guide something that would make a sound at 125k miles?? I have good engine repair experience with 351Cs, and 302s but not this 4.6.
The intake was easy though, I'm rambling. My bad lol
What do you guys think?
