So good to be back after an incredibly painful(divorce/move) several year hiatus.
now I own a different truck, this time it is a 1978 F150, “Trailer Special” exCab 2wd 460/auto. I’m the 3rd owner, 121k miles, so far it runs/drives nice. I rescued it from 14-15 years of farm/ranch duty where he said it was never washed even once! I spent the better part of 3 hours washing, scrubbing and chiseling(haha) that many years of muck, grime and sun baked moss off of it.
it came with ugly aluminum running boards, twin CB antennas and a huge steel deer guard on the front bumper that are all coming off asap. Interestingly enough it came with a Frantz Oil Cleaner that has been on it nearly its entire life. I had never seen one before. Seems to work so I’ll leave it on.
Eventually I’d like to lower it a little bit, maybe 3”/5” or something like that. Dual off the exhaust with some growly mufflers, tiny the windows and drive it!
