4 wheel drive
I have a 1990 with automatic transmission, we had our first snow storm of the season and when i pushed the 4 wheel drive button, it didn't work. I had some transmission work done not to long ago, could that have pulled a wire out? Has anyone come across this before?

Could be the transfer case shift motor. They are known to get gummed up and need internal cleaning. It is prettyb simple to do and only takes about an hour. Basically, all you need to do is take it off, take it apart, spray it down really good with electrical connector cleaner and lube it up with a spray lube, if you live in a colder climate, make sure it is one that won't freeze if it gets cold. Also, be careful when you take it apart as the contact brushes are spring loaded and can easily fly out and get lost, similar to a starter or alternater. Good luck.
